As of June 16, 2009, Asbestos Watch became an official 501(c)3 nonprofit.

By donating to Asbestos Watch, you will be contributing to the development of an important website in the fight against asbestos related disease and pollution.

Your sponsorship will help sustain Asbestos Watch in several ways. First, by funding a living wage for staff members so they can dedicate themselves full time to this cause.  As of right now the Asbestos Watch is a team of unpaid volunteers, working on the site in their free time, purely out of passion for the issue.

Second, sponsorship will help hire a full-time web-designer, a fact checker/copy editor, a photographer, and a full-time reporter. It will also help with ongoing site maintenance.

Finally, the money will help pay for travel expenses to various communities within the U.S. that have been affected by asbestos pollution.
